In his opening remarks, the District Coordinating Director highlighted the importance of the durbar as a platform to align the Assembly’s collective efforts toward excellence. He reiterated the core principles outlined in the Local Government Act, emphasizing the need for staff to remain apolitical in their duties. “As technocrats, our responsibility is to work collaboratively with all political appointees, irrespective of their political affiliations,” he stated.
Addressing dress code and professionalism, he urged staff to maintain decency and decorum in their attire and conduct. The Director reminded attendees of the public’s perception of government workers, urging them to be mindful of their words and actions both within and outside the office to preserve the Assembly’s reputation. “What we say and do has a significant impact on the image of this Assembly,” he remarked.

The Director also touched on the anticipated appointment of a new District Chief Executive (DCE) by the President of the Republic of Ghana. He cautioned staff against engaging in partisan activities or seeking undue favor from the incoming DCE, warning that such acts could jeopardize the integrity of the Assembly.
In a call to action, he urged all staff to work diligently to ensure the District’s performance ranks among the best nationwide this year.
Following his address, the floor was opened for staff to voice their concerns and grievances. Issues raised by various departments and units were met with detailed explanations, while unresolved matters were noted for further deliberation.

In the closing remarks, the Coordinating Director underscored the importance of teamwork and unity. “Together, we can achieve our goals and elevate the status of our District,” he concluded. The durbar ended on a high note, leaving staff motivated and united in their commitment to advancing the Assembly’s mission
