Jaman North Constituency Joins Nationwide Commissioning of Educational Infrastructure

As part of the nationwide commissioning of educational infrastructure projects by the Government of Ghana, Jaman North District has inaugurated a state-of-the-art three-unit classroom block at Asiri Presby Junior High School. The project, which includes three classrooms, offices, a six-seater water closet, and a mechanized borehole, aims to provide a conducive learning environment for students in the area.

The commissioning ceremony, held on November 18, 2024, was graced by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Solomon Owusu, who was accompanied by the District Coordinating Director and executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Jaman North Constituency.

In his address, Hon. Owusu emphasized the NPP government’s commitment to improving the education sector. He highlighted the numerous educational infrastructure projects undertaken by the government since it took office, with a particular focus on developments during his tenure as District Chief Executive.

The District Chief Executive took the opportunity to appeal to the audience to remember the NPP government’s achievements in the upcoming general and parliamentary elections. He urged them to vote massively for the NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the Parliamentary Candidate for Jaman North, Hon. Enock Nyarko.

Hon. Solomon Owusu also appealed to the school authorities, traditional leaders, and the assembly member to ensure the proper maintenance of the new facility. He expressed his gratitude to the traditional leaders for their support in making the event a success.

On behalf of the traditional leaders, a representative thanked the government for its developmental projects in Asiri, including the tarring of the inner roads and the Seketia to Goka road. He requested more projects in all areas to enhance the wellbeing of the people.

After the commissioning, the Hon. DCE handed over the keys to the facility to the District Education Directorate. Mr. Komla Kamassa, representing the District Director, received the keys and expressed gratitude to the DCE and the government. He promised that the facility would be put to good use and properly maintained.
