Inauguration of New Management Board for Goka Community Water System
June 26, 2024, Goka – The Jaman North District Assembly inaugurated a new board of management for the Goka Community Water System on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024. The ceremony marked a significant step towards ensuring the efficient management and operation of the water system, which serves Goka and its surrounding communities.
The event was attended by key figures from the District Assembly, including the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Alfred Lumor, the District Works Engineer, Mr. Patrick Osafo, the Assembly Member for Goka, and several government appointees.
In inaugural address of the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Alfred Lumor stated that the previous board had been dissolved in accordance with the law, and it was now the Assembly’s mandate to appoint a new board to oversee the operations of the water system. He emphasized the importance of the board’s role in ensuring the sustainable and efficient management of the water resources in Goka.
Mr. Lumor outlined the responsibilities of the new board members, emphasizing their critical role in the governance and operational oversight of the water system.
