DPCU Meeting: Jaman North District Assembly Reviews 2025 Action Plans

On Friday, 20th September 2024, the District Planning Coordinating Unit (DPCU) of the Jaman North District Assembly convened a crucial meeting to review and discuss action plans for 2025. The DPCU meeting, which brought together departmental and unit heads of the Assembly, focused on the presentation of planned activities and corresponding budgets for the upcoming year.

Key departments present at the meeting included the Education Directorate, Health Directorate, Social Welfare and Community Development, Physical Planning Department, District Environmental Health Unit, Central Administration, and several others. The session kicked off with presentations from these departments, each outlining their achievements from previous years and the activities they plan to undertake in 2025.

The Education Directorate was the first to present, showcasing their achievements and goals for the coming year, followed by the Health Directorate, which highlighted its strategic priorities for 2025. Mr. Eric Donkor Akola represented the Social Welfare and Community Development Directorate, presenting on behalf of the Director. After that, Mr. Abdallah Mahama, the District Environmental Health Officer, delivered a detailed presentation of his unit’s action plan.

After all the departmental presentations, the Development Planning Unit consolidated the individual plans into a single composite action plan. The District Development Planning Officer then presented this proposed composite action plan to the assembly. Participants engaged in a thorough review, asking questions and seeking clarification on various components of the plan.

Corrections were made based on the input from participants, ensuring that the final action plan aligns with the district’s priorities and resources.

This DPCU meeting marks a significant step in shaping the district’s development agenda for 2025, ensuring that all sectors work collaboratively towards achieving the Assembly’s goals.
