JAMAN NORTH DISTRICT OFFICE OF THE NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME COMMISSIONED
The Bono Regional Minister Hon. Mrs Justina Owusu-Banahene together with the chief of Kokoa who doubles as the Acting President of the Sampa Traditional Council (Nana Kwadwo Magsah II) have commissioned a newly constructed office edifice to house the District office of the National Health Insurance Scheme at Sampa, the Administrative capital of the Jaman North District.
Present at the ceremony were the Chief Executive Officer of the NHIA, Hon. Dr Oko Boye, Hon. Solomon Owusu, the DCE for Jaman North District, the District Coordinating Director of the Assembly Mr Alfred Lumor, together with some constituency executives of the New Patriotic Party and staff of NHIS district office and the Jaman North District Assembly.
Speaking at the colourful event, Hon Oko Boye expressed his satisfaction with the work done and urged the District Manager and staff of the scheme to put the edifice into judicious use. He further reiterated the commitment of the Akuffo Addo-led government towards improving services rendered by the Authority to improve quality healthcare delivery.
Delivering her speech at the event on Monday 11th of June 2023, The Hon Bono Regional Minister Mrs. Justina Owusu-Banahene further echoed the strides being made by the NPP government through investments in the health sector to improve and standardize healthcare in the country. The Hon Minister seized the opportunity to thank the District Chief Executive, Hon Solomon Owusu and the District Assembly for committing resources for the materialization of the project. She further urged the occupants of the building to ensure adequate maintenance culture for the sustenance of the edifice.
The Hon District Chief Executive assured members present of his commitment and that of the Assembly to further invest in the health sector and other facets of social services to improve upon the living standard of indigenes and other dwellers of the district. This he opined will be geared towards ensuring the place becomes a point of attraction for all and sundry.
Hon. Solomon Owusu highlighted the enormous contributions made by the District Assembly towards the growth and development of the Scheme.
In the closing remarks of Nana Kwadwo Magsah II was the Chairman of the occasion appealed to the CEO of the NHIA, Hon. Dr. Oko Boye to convey the issues of deplorable road networks bedeviling the District to the President (HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo) for some urgent intervention. Nana Kwadwo Magsah II believed will help alleviate the plight of his people in the District
