JAMAN NORTH DISTRICT EDUCATION DIRECTORATE TOOK CUSTODY OF 550 DUAL DESKS FOR DISTRIBUTION TO SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE DISTRICT
It could be recalled that since the inception of the year 2023 Educational and Health institutions in the Jaman North District have benefited from series of interventions from the District Assembly and the Government at large to boost both educational and Health infrastructure across its catchment areas.
In furtherance of the extension of such initiatives and interventions to ameliorate the infrastructural gap in schools across the District, the Jaman North District Assembly on Thursday 28th September 2023 presented 550 Dual desks to the Jaman North District Education Directorate meant for onward distribution to schools across the district. The acquisition of this set of furniture was made from the Assembly’s share of the District Assemblies Common Fund.
Handing over the 550 Dual desks to Mr. Kamasa, the representative of the District Director of Education at the Assembly’s premise, Hon Solomon Owusu, The District Chief Executive enumerated series of similar presentations to the education and Health sectors to improve the quality in Health and Education sectors since he took over the helm of affairs in the District. He also recounted the handing over of some completed projects in both sectors spread across the district a couple of months ago. They included 1 No. 3 Unit KG Block at Goka Presby Primary, Nurses Quarters at both Mayera and Kokoa respectively, Teachers Bungalow at Duadaso No.1, 1 No. 6 Unit Classroom Block at Adinkrakrom, Goka Maternity Health Center, Goka market Pavement, NADSEC Model, and 1 No. 6 Unit Classroom Block at Jankufa.
The ceremony was witnessed by the District Coordinating Director Mr. Alfred C. Lumor, the District Internal Auditor Mr. Johnson Sakyi, and The Works Engineer Mr. Patrick Osarfo in the presence of other Departmental Heads from both the District Assembly and the District Education Directorate together with some Jaman North NPP constituency Executives under the coverage of some media houses.
Mr. Kamasa on behalf of the District Education Directorate thanked the Jaman North District Assembly under the visionary leadership of the District Chief Executive Hon. Solomon Owusu for its unwavering support and interventions towards education in the district. He assured the Hon. DCE of equitable distribution to 21 schools in both Basic and Second-cycle institutions. He promised the directorate would map out monitoring strategies to ensure judicious use of all facilities while they observe some proper maintenance culture in that regard.
