The Jaman North District Assembly (JNDA) successfully held its first management meeting for 2025 on 13th February 2025 at the District Chief Executive’s (DCE) Office. The meeting, which forms part of the statutory four annual management meetings required of all Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs), was chaired by Mr. Alfred Cyril Lumor, the District Coordinating Director, who is also serving as the Acting District Chief Executive (DCE) due to the absence of appointed DCEs nationwide.

Chairman’s Address: Leadership, Commitment & Professionalism

The meeting commenced with a warm welcome and New Year message from the chairman, Mr. Lumor. In his address, he emphasized the importance of commitment to the mandates outlined in the Local Government Service Manual. He urged management members to lead by example, particularly in areas such as professionalism and dress code, stating that subordinates often take cues from leadership.

He also expressed his appreciation to all present for their dedication to the smooth running of the Assembly and encouraged them to work diligently in the interest of the district’s development.

Following the chairman’s address, the floor was opened for departmental reports. Representatives from various departments presented their updates, highlighting key activities, challenges, and achievements within their respective areas. Engaging discussions ensued, with management members seeking clarifications and providing insights to address pressing issues.
