BONO REGIONAL COORDINATING COUNCIL CONDUCTS MONITORING AND EVALUATION VISIT TO JAMAN NORTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY

On Wednesday, 12th February 2025, a team of officers from the Bono Regional Coordinating Council (BRCC), in fulfillment of its mandate, embarked on a Monitoring and Evaluation exercise to assess the performance of the Municipal and District Assemblies in the region. As part of this mandate, the team visited the Jaman North District Assembly to evaluate key performance areas and review developmental progress within the district.

The evaluation covered the following critical performance areas:

  1. Development Planning
  2. Physical/Spatial Planning
  3. Administration & Coordination
  4. Human Resource Management
  5. Procurement/Contract/Asset Management
  6. Budgeting
  7. Financial Management
  8. Social Services

The team meticulously scrutinized various documents, files, and physical projects carried out during the period under review. Their assessment provided insights into the Assembly’s development strategies, adherence to planning regulations, and the efficiency of administrative and financial procedures.

Key Observations and Recommendations

The BRCC team commended the District Assembly for its efforts in enhancing social services and improving financial management practices. Notable achievements included the completion of key infrastructural projects and the effective implementation of development plans.

However, the team also highlighted areas requiring improvement, such as timely documentation of procurement activities and enhanced coordination among departments to streamline operations.

Way Forward

The visit concluded with a wrap-up meeting where preliminary findings were shared with the Assembly’s management. The BRCC team assured continued support and collaboration to ensure the district’s growth and compliance with regulatory frameworks.

The Jaman North District Assembly expresses its gratitude to the BRCC for the visit and reaffirms its commitment to fostering sustainable development for the benefit of all residents.
