The Jaman North District has successfully received its share of fowls under the Government’s poultry support initiative, popularly known as Nkoko Nketenkete, aimed at reducing the importation of chicken into the country and promoting local poultry production.
The distribution exercise took place at the premises of the Jaman North District Assembly, where beneficiaries gathered to receive the first batch of fowls. The event was marked by excitement and appreciation from the beneficiaries, who expressed their readiness to take good care of the birds and make productive use of the opportunity.
The program was graced by the Member of Parliament for the Jaman North Constituency, Hon. Ahenkwah Yaw Frederick, and the District Chief Executive, Hon. Adane George, together with the NDC Constituency Executives. In their remarks, they encouraged beneficiaries to take the initiative seriously, emphasizing the importance of proper care and management of the fowls to ensure the success of the project.

They further noted that this distribution represents the first batch of the project, with the district looking forward to receiving subsequent batches in the near future to expand the program and benefit more residents.
