DCE Pays Working Visit to Fire Victims at Kaabre

In a heartfelt demonstration of compassion and leadership, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Jaman North, Hon. Adane George, on [insert date of visit], paid a working visit to Kaabre community to commiserate with a resident whose house was completely gutted by fire.
The tragic incident, which occurred recently, left the victim and his family with nothing but the clothes on their backs, as all household items, documents, and personal belongings were consumed by the flames. The entire community has since been plunged into sorrow, deeply touched by the misfortune that has befallen their neighbour.


Hon. Adane George, accompanied by the NDC Constituency Chairman, the District Coordinating Director, NADMO Directors, the Assembly Member of the area, and other staff of the District Assembly, visited the scene to assess the extent of damage and to offer words of comfort and hope to the affected family.
The atmosphere was emotional as the DCE and his entourage walked through the burnt remains of the house, witnessing firsthand the ashes of what was once a place of safety and joy. Many could not hold back their tears as the victim recounted how the fire started and the helplessness they felt watching their entire life’s investment go up in flames.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Adane George expressed his deep sympathy for the victim and assured them of the Assembly’s support. He stated:
“We are here today not only as government officials but as brothers and sisters sharing in your pain. This unfortunate incident could happen to anyone, and it is our responsibility as a District to stand by each other in times like this. We will continue to engage NADMO and other relevant agencies to explore further support for you to rebuild your life.”
After the DCE’s remarks, the NADMO Director also took the opportunity to educate the gathering on fire safety. He emphasised the importance of being cautious with electrical appliances when leaving the house for farm or work. He urged residents to always ensure that sockets and all electrical connections are switched off before stepping out to prevent such devastating occurrences in the future.

The team made a donation of funds to the victim to cater for their immediate needs as they plan towards reconstruction. The District Coordinating Director and NADMO Directors pledged to work closely with the Assembly Member and community leaders to provide additional relief support.
The NDC Constituency Chairman, who was visibly saddened by the situation, encouraged the victim to remain strong, emphasising that the entire community and leadership are solidly behind them.
The Assembly Member for the area expressed profound gratitude to the DCE and his team for their prompt intervention and show of solidarity, describing it as a true reflection of compassionate leadership that seeks the welfare of every citizen irrespective of political affiliation.

This visit by the DCE and his team has brought renewed hope to the victim and the entire Kaabre community. The Jaman North District Assembly remains committed to supporting residents in times of distress and continues to call on citizens to prioritise safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
