DCE for Jaman North Embarks on Familiarization Tour Across District Communities

The newly appointed District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Jaman North District Assembly, Hon. Adane George, has commenced a familiarization tour of all communities within the district. The exercise, which began on Wednesday, 14th May 2025, is aimed at introducing the DCE to the people as the President’s representative and the political head of the district.

Accompanied by a high-powered delegation including the Member of Parliament for Jaman North Constituency, the District Coordinating Director, representatives from the District Education Directorate, departmental heads, Assembly staff, and constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Adane George is engaging with chiefs, opinion leaders, and residents in a bid to better understand the development challenges and needs of the various communities.

During each visit, Hon. George expresses his profound gratitude to the people for their support in the 2024 general elections, acknowledging the sovereign power they exercised in electing the current government. He emphasizes that leadership is rooted in the will of the people and reiterates his commitment to serve with humility and diligence.

“As the President’s representative, I’m here to work hand in hand with you,” he told residents, adding, “I recognize the authority and wisdom of our traditional leaders, and I’m here to seek your guidance as we chart a path toward development.”

The DCE’s message has consistently centered on unity, collaboration, and grassroots engagement. He solicits input from residents on the challenges facing their communities and invites them to contribute ideas on possible solutions.

The ongoing tour has already received positive feedback from many community members who commend the DCE for taking the initiative to engage directly with them at the local level.

The familiarization tour is expected to continue in the coming weeks, reaching all 36 communities in the district. It forms part of the DCE’s broader strategy to promote participatory governance and ensure that development efforts are aligned with the actual needs of the people.
