The District Chief Executive for Jaman North District, Hon. Solomon Owusu in the company of the District Co-ordinating Director and staff, the NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr. Alhaji Barus and other Dignitaries has on 11^th April, 2023 presented 700 set of Desks to the District Education Directorate for onward distribution to some Basic in the District.

In presenting the items, Hon. Solomon Owusu stated that, the Assembly in the quest to solve the furniture deficit in the basic schools across the District has used part of its Internally Generated Fund (IGF) to procure some furniture for distribution to the selected schools. 

He further indicated that the distribution of the desks he lobbied for are attempts towards ensuring quality education in order to enhance the socio-economic development of the District.

He assured the people the New Patriotic Party’s agenda to transform the educational sector and commended the Government in pursuing this agenda rigorously.  The management and staff of Jaman North District Assembly were also commended for supporting his Government’s idea by allocating part of the IGF towards implementing this initiative.

Receiving the items, the District Director of Education, Mr. Douglas Asante thanked the Assembly and Government for their efforts in raising the status of Education High in the District.

He assured the District Chief Executive and the Assembly that, the items received would be put to good use.
